Mission:
At Love of Learning School, we see education as both preparation for life and a way of life. It is a living practice of curiosity, conscience, and courage. We guide children to grow into independent, capable, and caring individuals who enter the world with confident strides and compassionate voices. Our mission is to nurture thoughtful leaders, global citizens, and lifelong learners who contribute meaningfully to their communities and to the broader world.
We envision a world where education ignites purpose and connection, where thoughtful minds and open hearts work together to build a more just, sustainable, and humane future.
Vision:
Education at Love of Learning School is rooted in meaningful relationships, experiential learning, and a belief in each child’s potential. Our vision is to awaken a sense of responsibility, wonder, and belonging as students come to understand who they are, how they learn, and the impact they can make.
Love of Learning proudly harbors a community of people– students, teachers, parents, and faculty– from a wide range of backgrounds. It is the intersections of our identities, as families and as individuals, that strengthen and nurture the integrity of our school family. We place deliberate emphasis on making our programs accessible to families of all physical and financial orientations. Welcoming a variety of occupations, religions, ethnic and racial backgrounds, philosophies, and socioeconomic capacities, each family’s contribution is essential to our children's development as the future leaders, thinkers, and caretakers of our world. As an established Montessori school, it is our firm creed that education be personalized, flexible, and responsive to the unique needs of each individual student. Most importantly, we are committed to uplifting, nurturing, and supporting all members of our community as they learn and grow.
Multi-cultural learning is rooted in the Montessori philosophy, and is applied each day across all academic disciplines. Lessons challenge students to connect in-school learning with individual life experiences, encouraged to ask new questions, and similarly, to explore and find answers for themselves. Students learn to form and state their own ideas and opinions, as well as respecting the views of others. We value leaners' voices, everyday learning guided by individual choice.
