Upper Elementary Math and Science Teacher 4th-6th Grade, 7-8 Grade
September – June
Seeking an energetic, dynamic individual who enjoys working with children and is comfortable implementing lesson plans in a multi-age group classroom. The candidate should be someone who is interested in learning about the Montessori philosophy of teaching. Montessori certification is a plus but not required for this position. LOLMS is situated on a 15-acre campus on the harbor and in the woods. As part of the science program, LOLMS utilizes the “Living Schoolyard” for classroom learning in areas of marine biology, environmental studies and the garden program. Comfort in the outdoor environment is essential. Background check necessary and previous experience. Work hours part-time Competitive hourly salary.
