Our 15-acre “Living Classroom” is an extension of indoor learning environments. Our Living Classroom plays host to immersive sensorial experiences, designed to unlock learners’ natural curiosities and inspire independent research within and beyond our campus. Children guide each other on trails and in the garden, observing their surroundings and learning from each other. They work diligently to care for our campus; with 15-acres of woodland and wetland, there is much purposeful work to be done every day.
Opportunities for environmental exploration are abundant. Daily interactions with wildlife place emphasis on students’ personal responsibility to respect, care for, and protect habitats and one another. As they mindfully engage with the natural environment, students adopt a deliberate sense of responsibility for nature, both individually and as a collective community.
