Building on understanding cultivated earlier in their LOLMS education, middle school students transition to a higher standard of academic rigor while striving to achieve their unique learning goals. At this level, students prioritize the research of special interest areas, driven to achieve academic growth within personally meaningful subjects and pursuits. Mini courses, lasting a span of 20 days of intense research, are offered to cater to the specific curiosities of each student.

In the process of instilling a lifelong love of learning, we address each and every milestone, challenge, obstacle, and success as an opportunity for further growth.  With respect to their uniqueness, each student continues to strengthen their individual relationship with their teacher. Positive adult role models and teachers guide student progress, reinforcing the respect, maturity, and confidence necessary to achieve success in future education.
